11:44 PM CDT on Friday, July 22, 2005 Contrary to rumors, top-rated talk-radio host Russ Martin will not leave his 3 to 7 p.m. slot on KLLI-FM (105.3) to fill the morning vacancy that will be created when Howard Stern will move to satellite radio by Jan. 1. "Russ Martin is not going to move," program director Gavin Spittle confirmed Friday. "He's done mornings, and doesn't want to go back. Besides, he owns Dallas radio from 3 to 7." David Henry, the station's general manager, confirmed that, contrary to media speculation and ongoing banter about a move, "Russ is staying put." Neither station executive would comment on what will be done to fill the Stern gap. On July 18, Mr. Stern said on his show that his replacements would be Loveline co-host Adam Carolla, broadcasting from Los Angeles, and singer David Lee Roth, broadcasting from New York. Infinity has refused to comment. Spencer Michlin is a Dallas freelance writer. HOME
